Bikers to our aid

3rd August 2016

People regularly ask us how do we manage to fund all we do in Malawi and my answer is how much time do you have, because our funding comes form an amazing array of supporters all over the world, who make such an effort to keep the show on the road.
These are part of a group of bikers who put on a wonderful day for our cause https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2196715179507453411

The driving force (of nature) was Jacquie Ryan who has been a supporter for years and has taken Malawi to her heart, so much so, that she will spend 2017 volunteering in Malawi with Wells for Zoe, using her qualifications in Law and Journalism to further the cause of so many of her extremely poor Malawian friends.
Of course when Jacquie gets an idea into her head no one is safe, so I’m sure father Tom and mother Frances were first to be brought on board and maybe then Tom Tynan was hijacked followed bay all the friends from far and wide.
Mary said some words of thanks and appreciation, not trusting me to be brief, as the group were heading off on their regular Wednesday evening tour of duty! The thanks was for the huge cheque, but also for the warmth and welcome we received from people we had never met before.  She also guaranteed them that 100 % of this money will, as usual, all the way to projects in Malawi and will bring clean, safe drinking water to at least 3000 of the poorest.
Mary and myself, personally pay All overheads and expenses.

This is their regular meeting place and the place that Liam donated a hearty breakfast as a support to us on the day. Thanks Liam.

The local newspaper, the Tipperary Star, were quick off the mark with the following:

Well done and thanks
