The Israeli Lamp

Here in Stratford upon Avon is the lamppost donated by Israel in 1990 and is one of a series of working lampposts erected along Waterside, all donated by various countries.

The lamppost depicts Bottom from A Midsummer Night's Dream and Topol from Fiddler on the Roof. The Israeli sculptor Frank Meiser modelled the figures which were cast in bronze.

My extra is the rear view of the Royal Shakespeare Company Theatre with the Swan Theatre to the right of the picture.
