Finally! A rainshower for the roses

It is really hot again today, most days nearing 40 with the humidity - for 3 weeks now. We have only had a couple of showers during that time. It was a quick one this afternoon with the promise of a bigger one tonight, which will bring cooler northern air for the weekend. We are watching the weather very carefully as we do not want to wilt during the Iron Girl sunday morning. Lazy morning followed by a busy afternoon of errands. Very happy my sport prescription sunglasses came in on time as I only ordered them on tuesday (as monday was a statutory holiday) after realising my non-sport pair are just not up to the task of this cycling and running race. Picked up a 2 bike rack for the car and we are ready to roll for sunday. Pizza and beer tonight watching the Olympic opening ceremonies - very excited! When your partner is an Olympian you take these things seriously!
