Coming home

It is always with a feeling of homecoming that I find myself back at the Cathedral of The Isles on Cumbrae, especially on a clear evening like this, heading to our room in the North College as the last light fades beside the spire and the bats flit and whirl overhead, especially on an evening like this when we have spent the time since dinner rehearsing in the Cathedral. It's almost 50 years since I first did this, and the experience feels timeless.
