teaching children has been a privilege i've enjoyed for six years now. once a week on sundays, i handle a class of 20-30 fourth-graders.

after six years, i still feel like an amateur.

and i can never shake the feeling that they always end up teaching me more than i could ever teach them.

my mentor once told me that most children will forget 80 percent of what you teach them- but they will remember how you loved them.

after hearing those words, i knew i could do this for a lifetime.
