Storks Over Schierstein

There is another stork in this - top right, looks more like a black line though.

The QSM had never visited the stork reserve down at Schierstein before and because it was a lovely day, we headed down there to have quite a longish walk.

While we were there enjoying the bird life, we also fed the mosquitoes.  There are millions of them this year and they are horrible - although I must say they are not the equal of midges on the West Coast Of Scotland.  Midges are somehow related to piranha.

It was good to get out and enjoy some fresh air and marvel at the neverending self-absorption of idiots.  Party boats on the Rhein is the latest:- large group of young people on a boat, drinking large quantities of alcohol, screaming and all backed by some sort of music that consisted of bass notes.  Must be a brilliant way to pass the day.
