Banksia serrata

No it is not some strange monkey but a plant called Banksia serrata native to the East Coast of Australia. The Arboretum at UCSC has a great collection of plants from Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. Hummingbirds are plentiful. We spent a quiet afternoon there wandering among all these exotics.
