The garden today

Wonderful weather for gardening - the sun shone and it was lovely a cool.  I didn't get as much done as I would have liked, but..... you know how it is.  I kept getting sidetracked, and flitting from one spot to another.

the Rower came out and cut off a couple of branches form a flowering cherry that is obviously in trouble. 

I think this bracket fungus is a Pycnoporus spp.   Brilliant red in colour, and interesting spongy texture underneath.
