Late summer berries

Extremely high winds last night and today have dried out the plants and started bringing the berries down off the Rowan Tree. According to Greek mythology the Rowan was created from the feathers and blood of the eagle sent to recover Hebes magical chalice. In Norse mythology it is the tree from which the first woman was made. Our Celtic beliefs thought it protected against witches. Beautiful trees !
