Kathryn...

A fun day out and about with Iain.

We headed over to the Foodies Festival at Inverleith Park for a few hours. A few samples of booze (Gin Bothy's chilli infused gin was great), some tasty food (an Indian chicken dish and some hot Korean wings with kimchi) and a couple (OK, a few) beers from Campervan Brewery). The weather stayed dry most of the while, which can't be said the same today, as it had to be cancelled due to high winds.

A wander into Stockbridge to the Tap for a drink before heading into town.

Wildmanwood for some sustenance/carbs and then over to Summerhall for an evening of beautiful music as part of their Nothing Ever Happens Here programme.

Kathryn Joseph played a wonderful set. We've seen her several times now, and I've yet to see a rubbish performance.

Iain and I have been chatting with her on Twitter for ages, so it was great to meet her and hang out with her after the show - although we were pretty well oiled by then...I hope we weren't too rambling and incoherent. Sorry Kathryn and Andrew if we were mangled messes!

We also bumped into our Summerhall music chums, J and D. Always a pleasure!

It was then time for home. A couple of buses, in the house, food, bed.
