Olympic Color

A TV image of today's women's 141 km road race. A Dutch rider who was leading by some 40 seconds 20 km from the finished crashed badly on a descending curve; she suffered a "heavy concussion" and "three minor fractures in her lumbar spine," but is in stable condition.  We saw her fall--the crash was horrifying and we had feared the worst.
