Autumn

The blackberries are delicious this year. Often they are small and seedy, but I guess this year we've had the right mix of rain and sun to make them plump and sweet.

A travelling day: into Toulouse with Mr B to buy a bunch of doors at Leroy Merlin where, by using the self service check out, we avoided any of the stress usually involved with any interaction with their erroneously named 'customer services'. A drive home avoiding the motorway reminded us both just how bonny it is around here.

In the afternoon, carpet buying from our local DIY store, with unfailingly excellent and smiling customer service.

Later, I bit the bullet and bought all the kids' back to school supplies. With CarbBoy going to a new to us school, there is the usual list of stuff that doesn't seem to exist. Lots of guessing and I'm sure it will be fine.
