Adventures on Mull

What a day. I do love Mull and I love that everyday, whatever the weather, an adventure awaits.

Today was probably the best day we are going to get and so we headed out to Erraid, and some of my favourite beaches on Mull. Encouraged by a bit of blue sky we aimed for a walk over to Erraid while the tide was out and work up a bit of warmth before a swim. We scrambled up rocks and squelched through bogs and enjoyed some lovely views over Iona and Mull. Walking down, it was pretty cold, but (three of us, at least) were determined to swim. And swim we did! It was freezing, completely and utterly freezing! SS managed a dip underwater and then dad and I swam out to reach a different beach. A pretty rough and choppy sea meant that we nearly didn't make it and we definitely weren't going to try and swim back. Thankfully we made it over the bank and through some sheep poo to reach safety!

Some very hot showers at home and then back out to discover some more of our local headland (above). Lovely walk, lovely beaches, lovely views, lovely sunshine.

Then a quick sunset run this evening. Probably one of the most beautiful runs of my life. I heart Mull.
