Fitzroy Pinnacle/ The Currency

KinkyCupcakes and I just spent a great night here seeing my favourite local band, Folk-Punkers The Currency, playing their first gig in 18 months. It was an excellent show and great to see the band again. This is the band that inspired me to take up the mandolin. I would have posted a picture of them playing, but the only one I took didn't turn out very well.
So if you're a fan of The Pogues, Flogging Molly, The Dropkick Murphys and their ilk, check these guys out, you will not be disappointed. Not many bands could do a great song about the story of the New Australia Colony in Paraguay.
