Mrs Monarch in the AOG

Mrs Monarch, representing New Zealand in the 100m dash.  Lined up at the start, testing the air for the best trajectory.  She is definitely showing signs of beating a world record today.

(I had a meeting in town this afternoon so I headed in half an hour early and ducked into the gallery to see if the butterflies were about.  They were mostly still high in the tree but this lady was sunning herself on the grass.

Of course that meant I had to get down at ground level in my work clothes.  Ahh well, I'm sure I'm going to bring muddy knees into trend.)
