Better weather today: the wind had dropped, the sun was out and the temperature was creeping up towards 18C (phew! scorcher!): clearly a day for the beach.

A wander into town first thing followed by a quick play on the beach by th harbour, a very quick lunch at Kingsbarns distillery and then down to Kingsbarns beach where it was everyone into wetsuits and then into the sea. Hermit crabs, whelks, sandcastles, freezing water and three guys harvesting seaweed.

After that all that remained was to eat our own combined body weight in sausages & mash, teach the grandparents uno and to fall asleep.

Crail looks much shinier in the sun...
