Tintagel, Cornwall - Absolutely Magical!

A most glorious day!
Too bad Mad Hen couldn't climb either rock with us as the stairs were so steep!

This was my second trip to Tintagel.  The first one was way back in 2001, without hubby, and I'd been dreaming of bringing him here ever since.  The area has improved and, perhaps unfortunately, 'developed' as well, if I have to judge it by the numbers of tourists and vehicles now swarming in the place.  The castle is as haunting as ever, and there are areas at the top which are now more accessible compared to 15 years ago.  One extra is of hubby beside Darth Vader.

Mad Hen did her best up the steps but after a point could go no further.  She is a dear and I will miss her loads.  She waited in the car the couple of hours we were up there and then we all drove to Crackington Haven for dinner and a walk along the beach, which was good for the extra.  We ended the day sitting behind our respective laptops, just like yesterday evening, editing our shots and talking about a myriad things, and with some poetry reading.  Hubby caught up with the daily Olympics and updated us when relevant.  Our time with her has gone way too quickly.  It seems as though I've known her for many, many years.  Dear dear Mad Hen, you will visit us in The Neth sometime, I hope.
