Playtime!

Last night Violet stayed over with us as her Mummy was feeling a little under the weather and needed to catch up on sleep.  Violet has not been sleeping so well of late and those nights of broken sleep take their toll.  We are fortunate that she does always sleep through very well with us and she did so last night.
This morning I had some time to play with Violet before taking her back to her mummy.  I have unearthed some of the toys that I kept from when our  children were  still children, some Fisher Prices classics and a set of building blocks featuring Winnie The Pooh amongst them.   Lovely to see her playing with family toys that are now over 30 years old.

In this photo, she's been building a tower with the blocks and knocking it down again.  She is very verbal and  has a wonderful range of facial expressions to accompany.  She also uses her hands most expressively as you see here.  I could watch her at play all day!
