Lambie

After the shock disqualification of Spice Girl yesterday there was an air of desperation in the Wombat Hollow contingent at the AOG Games.  What was needed was a Gold Medal performance to lift their spirits and it came late in the afternoon today in the individual gymnastics finals.

It came from the most unlikely of all of our competitors.  "Lambie" a veteran of the AOGames has been captured about to do her final dismount in the Parallel Bar discipline at the end of her sizzling and frankly nothing short of spectacular routine.   Lambie is a well seasoned athlete but has never been able to secure a medal of any colour in four attempts.  Imagine our absolute surprise and delight when Lambie scored perfect 10's from every one of the judges.

Now I know most people would consider that Lambie doesn't really have the right muscle definition for a world class gymnast, but looks can be misleading because she has in fact the strength of an Ox.  

There will be lots of celebrating in the athletes village tonight and this time a Wombat Hollow competitor will become a household name for the right reasons.
