War time memories

A good day out at Upton House near Banbury. Before the war Upton belonged to banker Walter Samuel, and at the outbreak of the war he moved his bank and staff lock, stock and barrel up to Upton. Now the National Trust have recreated the house as it would gave been during the war years. It is a very well staged exhibition.
Sadly our hosts couldn't join us! Paul had to be taken to A&E with an extremely sore foot. After three hours' wait they were told there is no break, he just has to rest it for six weeks!
