Well at least Fred still needs me.

I helped my son move into his new abode today - a lovely but tiny workman's cottage in Wimbledon with an extortionate rent.

Me: let me know when you want me to go?

Josh: can you go now please.

My work here is done. I'm superfluous to requirements. No longer a help but a hindrance to independent progress. It's been four years since he went off to Uni and he's been living and working in London for the last year, so it's not like he's leaving for the first time or anything. I'll get my coat!

Well done Josh, I'm immensely proud. :)
