Reinforcements

Son J and girlfriend Laura flew in this morning from Stanstead and made the team complete for breakfast. This is their third trip "to Europe" in almost as many weeks having been to Greece for a relaxing week and then Lake Garda in northern Italy for a long weekend friends wedding.

So we spent the day all catching up, J hadn't seen his sister, Barry and his nephew and niece since a trip to that other "European" country, Ireland a few months ago. First stop was the local supermarket which was holding a "marketing event" on the car park with several things for children, stands of BBQ food and as to be expected lots of beer and a brass band who while we were thee were filling up with liquids and the DJ had the oompah, oompah music on the turntable.

Bull riding for Elliot and Charlotte got a German flag painted on her cheek as no doubt another football match tonight. Nobody is very excited about the Euro tournament but have been loving the antics of the Norther Ireland fans who have certainly closed up the gap to the Rep. of Ireland fans who have long been the favourites here. The Welsh have though overtaken even a combined Irish team to get the Best Singing Fans title. There was a bit of sympathy for the English fans as no doubt there was provocation in the early days but also understanding for the hard pressed French police who did have very thankless and nerve racking job.

A very very happy Bunny today.
