Trip to Loch Tay via Abbafeldy!

Gorgeous sunny day today. We started with a quick trip into town to the Farmer's Market to get some stuff - Highland Cow Fillet Steaks which we had for tea and are very, very tasty (sorry veggies!) and white flour for the home made bread.

First stop was one of our favourite places, The Highland Chocolatier, I cannot described this place to it's best advantage, but if you are ever up by Grandtully, check it out. We sat outdoors in the sunshine and shared a choclate pecan brownie and coffee. Delicious. Mmmm and there is a shop wgere you can buy the home made chocolate.

Next stop was Aberfeldy (also called Abbafeldy - Cameron's word for it) where we took Breagha down to a little beach area at the River Tay where she did a great impression of an otter, diving in for the stones that we would fling in to her. She would stay there all day, in and out of the river, and so could I have sitting in the lovely sunshine, and even wore a skirt to celebrate it!!

Next stop was the Watermill Bookshop, which not only is a bookshop(!) but has a cafe and outdoor seating area and ate ciabatta with lemon chicken and mango salad. Again Yum! Another coffee too . . .

Next door is a fabulous home shop called Homer and could have bought loads but resisted . . .

Headed off to Loch Tay next where this picture is taken. Such a beautiful spot, the mountains, the loch, the little boats bobbing, children swimming, walking in the sunshine, it was lovely. There is even an Iron Age Crannog which is well worth a visit.

To finish off the day - WELL DONE to all Team GB for their fantastic efforts - these Olympic Games have been so good, I never thought I would become so obsessed with them. Just watched Jessica Ennis win the gold.
