Still life

I was dropped by the wee bus at Skara Brae and, after a chat to the staff, walked south on the beach and onto the headland at Hole o' the Row. Quite a few tysties and young kittiwakes about. I headed north back along the beach heading for Marwick. Around Point of Howana Geo I decided that it looked like rain so found a rocky overhang under which to sit and make coffee. Out at sea I saw my first Orkney Minke whale rise and fall. He came up a couple of times but I didn't get a decent shot. I walked in the rain along to the Fishermens Huts at Sand Geo. A whimbrel called as it flew overhead. I took this shot there.
