Two bees or not two bees...

Well there were two when I tried to compose the photo, but one appears to have disappeared! I think this was an elimination event!
Evidently this one was the stronger competitor in the pollen gathering event taking place in the lavender field plant today. More elimination rounds are taking place as I type! The place is buzzing!!!!
