Cramond

Today's the day .......................... to walk the dog

Took Maisie for a long walk this afternoon along the front at Cramond, just to the west of Edinburgh on the Firth of Forth.  It's a popular place for walkers of all kind, joggers and cyclists - but today there were even a couple of riders on horseback who had the vast expanse of sandy shore more or less to themselves.

You can see the remains of the causeway running out to Cramond Island standing like jagged teeth.  In the far distance behind them is a bit of the iconic Forth Railway Bridge - with a pillar of the new Forth Road Bridge towering over it.

And on top of that, is a crane which presumably was used to build the pillar.  Anyone know how they do that .............................?!
