Stories written by Nathan Dougan were published by his son, R.I Dougan in 1973. The book is Cowichan My Valley. In the book is a photograph of the above house belonging to the family MacPherson (1883).

I worked on this farm when it was owned by Wolters. I learned to drive a pickup truck while hauling hay bales from the fields to the barn seen on the left.
