Gala time

A quick snap.

Gala was pretty disappointing last night...only three floats plus the Gala Queen & attendants and the pipe band.

A few years ago the town was heaving, but not any more. Perhaps the floats are too expensive (I havent looked into it, but I've heard they are really expensive to put on) or perhaps people are just not interested in investing the time needed to make a good gala?

We've been away for the last couple of years so I was pretty shocked at how few people were out.

Still....the floats that were there were excellent with a lot of work put into them, the pipe band was great as usual and this chappie had gone all out.
