Fuzzy

A juvenile male American goldfinch sports a bit of baby fuzz on top of it's head. Several juvies were hiding in the tall grasses/weeds, and twice I was standing next to a juvenile goldfinch and did not see it. Much of the time the juveniles were crying, and the noise appeared to help the parent birds hone in on the location of the babies.

It's a cool day, and air temp was too low for butterflies to be out this morning.
