Red Baroness

It was a very busy harbour this morning.  This is the Red Baroness coming into the harbour to via for position with the Artic Rose, ABIS Bergen and Fame already tied up and unloading.

Out in the bay was the bulk cargo vessel Dragonera and the oil tanker Leonid Loza from Thursday and Friday.  Dashing between them was the training ship TS Royalist, a traditional sailing ship used to train new sailors.

The weather has brightened up but I’m not sure the “heatwave” that was promised has arrived yet.  Mrs F and I have been cutting up wood tonight to fill the log store.  We need to start to build a stock for winter which is probably not too far away.

This shot was taken with the new 28-300 lens that I purchased at the weekend and to be honest I am rather impressed with it so far.

The extra today shows the boats out in the bay off the coast of Ayr.
