Sound for Mono Monday

My parents bought this table model radio in the late 1930's  and it was the way I was introduced by radio to the sounds of rhythm and blues and the beginnings of rock and roll in the 1950's.  When it no longer served as a radio, I converted it to a speaker along with another radio of the same era for my stereo sound system with receiver, tape deck, and later a CD player.  It still works great as a speaker.  By the way, when it was a working radio, it had capabilities for short wave as well as regular radio.  Thanks to JDO for hosting this fun challenge.
