This poor lass was having an "Oh... my... g..." moment, upon realising that before the five storey building abseil, you have to climb a ladder, and step on to that parapet, the one that adds another eight feet to the height of the drop, and from this angle you've no idea how wide... or narrow, that parapet is. Then you've to walk along the parapet, and lean out a bit, to pass that scaffolding tube, before you reach the platform with the abseiling team.

As if that wasn't enough. Way, way, down below, all those teeny children that know her from the Nursery, are merrily chanting her name. So no pressure(!). Worst of all, was that some swine with a camera should capture that moment! The good news, was that there was a safety rope attached for all of that, and the abseil, which the star "L", along with everyone else that was mad enough to put their names down for, did without any problem. A good few of them would've liked another go!

Another lass that took on the challenge - abseiling down the College's Longman building, before we all move to a new campus in August - and did so with aplomb, was a well known and wonderful local Blipper. I'll not mention who, but she's near the top of the building in the extra. And she smiled the whole way down. No fear.

A lot of fun. And some good craic in the days after, when they saw all the photos.
