We Should Not Forget But We Should Forgive.

Bosnia and Hertzegovena
Today we went to Bosnia & Hertzegovena (not something you can say every day). We started at Kravice Falls, a huge natural waterfall complete with swimming lake...safe to say, I offered plenty of support from the side for those who were braver than I!

From there we went on to Mostar, a city besieged in the Balkan War by the Yugoslav People's Army and later by the Croatian Defence League, it appears that the destruction of the city and famous Stari Most Bridge that was originally built in the time of Suleyman the Magnificent was based on cultural destruction rather than strategic. Photographs displayed in the town showed the extensive damage, most of which has now been repaired but we still saw signs of bomb and shell damaged buildings but on a positive note, a number of signs stating the people of Mostar should not forget but should forgive...a message we have seen throughout the region.
