Hummers

These are smart little birds! One came to my kitchen window to tell me the feeder was empty. After replentishing the sugar water, two birds appeared and drank eagerly. Normally these are solitary creatures, but during the mating season the male will condescend to have a female nearby. After mating, however, he will chase her away. These may be different species but they were both hungry.
