Death of a Printer

Our A3+ printer has been playing up for ages and trying my patience. It got to the stage that, even after several cleans and leaving it overnight, a nozzle check had numerous gaps. We must have a working, good quality printer as we do print talks to camera clubs as part of one of the paper manufacturers' team of lecturers.

Yesterday afternoon I bit the bullet and ordered a replacement printer. The old printer has a continuous ink system as will the new one. The inks are exactly the same so here Guy is draining the cartridges of as much ink as possible before we throw the cartridges out. The next job is to put the original cartridges back in the printer and see if it will produce a print. If it does we may be able to sell it otherwise if will have to go for landfill. Something I hate doing.
