My beloved Oslo: The truck from Pakistan

Each year there is a Mela festival in Oslo. The festival is a three days long celebration of cultural diversity with concerts, theatre, dance, food and different kinds of activity - and all for free.

The decorations are the same each year: green elephants  and this truck.
The truck is actually imported by the Mela festival and later bought by Norwegian Folkmuseum and Norwegian Road Museum in 2003 for 200 000 NOK (about 22 000 Euro).

It always gets a lot of attention and I do understand why! The Pakistani trucks are painted by hand and the truck drivers take great pride in having the most beautiful vehicle. This one is a true beauty.
