Street trees

While Alex was managing the grassland at Woodston Ponds, I drove out to the fen town of Holbeach to do a survey of the trees in the cemetery, which we will be used in an environmental enhancement scheme (the Holbeach Cemetery Chapels project). While I was there I had a general walk round the town, doing some botanical recording. I was particularly impressed by their street trees, particularly those round the church, which included some quite unusual species such as Gingko, Indian Bean Tree and this very stately Black Walnut.
