Big daddy!

I spend much time trying different ways of ridding my garden of these plant eating creatures.....but there was no way I would squash this monster snail underfoot. I'm sorry I didn't place a normal size snail next to this one for comparison.
I remember hearing about carniverous snails, but on googling this I see they are only found in New Zealand.
So I have no idea if this one is just a freak - it was very much bigger than the ordinary garden snail.
Anyway it gave me my blip for today!!
