Frieze on the plinth of The Meeting Place

I've been past Paul Day's The Meeting Place sculpture at St Pancras station many a time, but never before noticed the amazingly detailed friezes on its plinth. They feature images of trains and the Underground, with quite a lot of arriving and leaving - including this poignant departure.

The extra might be a premonition of Southern Railway commuters.
