Beer Books?

We were up and atom this morning to tour the State Capitol building, although I follow politics, the US systems are taking time to understand. This capitol seems similar to the national one in Washington DC, but just for California. It was surprising to learn that both the halls in the extras have colours that match Westminster, green and red. Both Ronald Reagan and Arnold Schwarzenegger served as governor in this capitol and they all had their portraits on the walls - RR's was the only one with a protective cover to prevent vandalism!

Ms H had run out of books and doesn't like kindles, pah, so took us on a google maps journey to find a book shop, a special one. She loved it. As can be seen in the extra, it was named Beer Books, but for the life of me, I could not find the bar in that shop. Ms H came out happy... on the way back  we stopped in an ice-cream shop (I had coconut and pineapple shake) and we got a 15% discount because Ms H was in the pokemon go instinct team.. er ok, whatever it takes...

No visit to Sacramento is complete without a trip to the Railroad Museum. We've been maybe 25 years ago, but history is always changing so we went again. The main blip is of an absolutely massive engine which was redesigned to go through snow tunnels without suffocating the drivers. In normal formation, with smoke at the front, the engineers could not breath in the tunnels, so they swapped it around and closed it up. Really... this was masseeeeve!

The museum is in Old Sacramento, a few blocks of original buildings from way back, but refreshed inside for the tourists.
