A Day in Paradise

We spent most of today at the Paradise swimming pool, with its long slides, adventure swims, bubble pools, indoor picnic spots, outdoor pool and exercise pool.  Rain was forecast for most of the day so this seemed, and was, a good choice, despite the 90 minute drive to Örnsköldsvik (which translates to a real Viking name... Eagle Shield Bay).
The longest slide involved carrying an inflated tube up 101 steps and at a conservative estimate we went down that one 20 times, so there were some very tired legs at the end of the day.
This somewhat surrealistic photo is taken at Max Hamburgare's. M is in the kiddies play area and there are two layers of plexi-glass and a lot of reflections between me and her. Somewhat weirdly I didn't notice the snaky neon light in reality, only in the reflection!
Late at night we watched Sweden lose the final in the Olympic football to Germany. Of course we would have loved them to win but it was a brilliant match, the result did seem a fair one, and they do get a silver medal which is much better than expected (and much better than the men's team.)
