Rondane

After the precipitous west of Norway we ended up in Rondane national park to go walking. The blip is of the hills from Spranget where we parked, with the amazing lichen covered low ground. The weather was ok most of the day, with the showers passing either side of us. We went up a hill called Storronden, 2138 metres. The views are good, but it’s a huge rocky lump and not a great walk. I have to give the Norwegians full marks for their enthusiasm for cairn building, but very few for effectiveness as they were liberally put everywhere vaguely , but not quite, on the main path.
