Critical eye

This Cape Weaver amused me today as he examined the nest he had built, before trying to attract a female. The females are extremely fussy and will tear the nests down if they do not meet with their approval.
There was a colony of these weavers, all busy and uttering their rather harsh calls, next to the restaurant where we enjoyed a good Sunday breakfast.
