Midged off

 Exploring the beaches at the Forvie National Nature Reserve, north of Aberdeen. This is Hacklay Bay

A calm, humid, overcast day...perfect for for the midge. The wind dropped  to nothing and by mid afternoon they forced us to retreat back to the car.
