MonoMonday:Smell

I found this the hardest of the senses challenge posed by JDO yet others have come up with some great ideas.

I haven't done much baking lately but today was cold and miserable and seemed a good opportunity.
And it's hard to beat the smell when you take some biscuits out of the oven.

These are gingernuts and remind me of my mother. 
She often made them when we visited because she knew my husband loves them.
He further endeared himself to her when he remarked once that hers were better than mine!
