Wild Honeysuckle

Today's walk was by the river, on the northern edge of the town. Raf loved it because he met lots of other dogs. He is very friendly, but as one owner put it 'a bit of a wus'. 

The banks are mostly weedy - masses of Himalayan balsam this year. We don't have it in the garden yet, but it can only be a matter of time before it arrives.

The honeysuckle looked as if it was a last survivor, maybe it knows something we don't.

School is back, the rowans are turning red, the harvest is in full swing. Autumn, or should I call it the Indian Summer, starting.  Some withering weeds for the extra.
