The Little Old Toll House

Isn't this sweet? It is the toll house next to Allington lock on the Medway; it sits on an island between the lock and the weir. This is the sea lock so commercial boats would be charged to use the navigation. Now it's a lovely café with tables in the sunshine and some sheltering under the willows. I had a tasty coffee and watched a boat lock through.

Well worth a visit if you are in the area - I've put it on the map and there are more details on their site
