Getting the sparkle back

Parish Church of S Cuthbert

I came here for a lovely concert a friend was singing in with works by Mozart and Vivialdi.

It is thought that a church has stood on this site since 850 AD, although the present day church dates from the late Nineteenth Century. The decoration of the apse is striking, and apparently it was disapproved of by some as being too ornate for a Presbyterian church. I was intrigued by the frieze of the Last Supper (which you can probably just about make out) as the design is clearly taken from Leonardo's da Vinci's fresco. I haven't been able to find out who created it.
