Evening ferry

I'm absurdly pleased with this photo of the Western Ferries boat arriving at McInroy's Point for the 9.30pm run; we'd driven at a fair lick along the M8 into a fiery sunset and were very relieved to arrive with ten minutes to spare - time enough for me to nip out of the car for the photo of the last light on the sea. If we'd missed this boat, there would have been an hour to wait for the very last one of the day ...

My extra photo is the reason we were cavorting across Scotland in this manner: we were taking our lovely granddaughter out for afternoon tea on the Royal Yacht Britannia, by her special request. We had scones and jam (and in her case, cream) and green tea/Victorian ginger beer and a delightful and very entertaining conversation. We also wriggled between large tourists with audio guides clamped to their ears: the veteran of several visits, our grandchild was the perfect selective guide for the afternoon.
