Helle statistics

In Tampere region there were 8 helle days this summer. Helle means hot weather when the temperature is +25,0°C or more. In 2015 the amount of hot days was as low as this year, 8. In average we have 16,3 hot days each summer. The record in Tampere region was made in 2010; stunning 32 days of helle.

According to the Finnish Meteorological Institute no more hot days are expected. It also has rained a lot this summer. After two lousy summer next summer should be sunnier, warmer and dryer right?
